A photo essay depicting life over a two week period in a girls' school. The images were exhibited in the school at the time of this project. If you have a daughter at the school and missed the exhibition, or would like another chance to see the pictures, please contact me. Only a very small selection of the images from the project will appear on my site but prints from the complete set are available for sale to parents.

If you are a musician interested in a portfolio of pictures from a gig, rehearsal or recording studio, or a specific promo shoot for images to use in publicity material or CD artwork etc, please contact me on 01206 386736, 07940 969116 or email me at jonathan@doyleandco.net to discuss the project. Use of the images is chargeable but at extremely reasonable rates. Promo shoots start at £250+VAT including most uses. Live music photography starts at £50+VAT per set including most uses.

If you have looked round my site you will by now see that my main interest is portraiture and, within that aspect of photography, portraiture that says something of my clients. When I am commissioned for a portrait shoot I spend time at the outset talking to a client about the look they want to achieve (or avoid) in their finished pictures. The process of a portrait shoot is an intensely personal thing for many clients and I take the time to make it work for them, and hence for me.
Children are a source of constant inspiration in my work. I like to capture images of them in settings with which they are familiar and feel comfortable. Usually, that is the best way to get an interesting portrait of a child. Some of my favourite portraits have come from my reportage work in schools and clubs but I am also available for individual commissions. I usually shoot on location rather than in a studio setting and try to capture the essence of the child in their own environment or somewhere that they enjoy being, such as the coast or a favourite park. If you would like further information please contact me to discuss the project.
Please see the note regarding my CRB certificate on the 'About' page.
